Overview
Post 11th November 1987
Mahraz Jee had previously stipulated in 1987 that in his absence his Swaroop (picture) should be placed on all mission Gaddis (spiritual throne) with a Jyot (earthen lamp) positioned next to it. This was to represent him in his absence. No one was permitted to sit on it. In October 1987 whilst Mahraz Darshan Das was in England this Hukam Naama (edict) was conveyed to India and was delivered by Mahraz Jee’s Personal Secretary. The Hukam Naama further entrusted Maharani Pali Darshan Das with the responsibility of running the mission in India, and was duly acknowledged by all. It was only after Mahraz Jee's departure that these instructions took on a greater importance, and meaning.
Though there was initial upheaval in the mission, we are trying steadfastly to uphold Mahraz Jee's wishes, namely that:
1. Maharani Pali Darshan Das succeed Mahraz Jee as the Head & Patron of the mission
2. To preserve the wish of the Founder that no one is permitted to sit on the holy seat
3. That all properties in the name of the Founder belong to the mission
Unfortunately, there have been some who have disregarded these instructions and have chosen to follow their own paths. Mahraz Jee in his wisdom had foretold “Sachkhand Nanak Dham is like the rising sun, it has come from afar and will go far, along the way it will endure struggles and criticism, you may falter, but I will not.”
Accepted these are trying times, but our faith in Mahraz Jee will sustain and strengthen us, but only if we remain true to his mission, his words and the power behind him, our true Master.
Poignantly we should reflect on his words, a fitting reminder of today’s times.
“God teaches us to follow the path of love, and not of war. Need sheds tears, selfishness fights and true love is sacrifice.”
