Why
Question and Answer - Slogan?
Why do your followers greet each other by saying “Nanak Naam Chardi Kala, Tere Bhane Sarbat Da Bhala”, whenever they meet each other?
This slogan is the essence of all scriptures, and was uttered first by Guru Nanak. Every messenger during his time on earth bestows a slogan apt for the time to his followers such as; Ram Ram, Sia Ram, Namaste, Sat Sri Akal, etc. Similarly while looking at today’s needs I have given my followers this slogan, which basically means;
Nanak Naam - Glorifies the name of the Lord
Chardi Kala - Asks for the prosperity and goodwill of His creation
Tere Bhane - Is to seek contentment under His will
Sarbat Da Bhala - Seeks the well being of all creation
This is the embodiment of the teachings of Das Dharam, which we strife to render on a practical daily basis. It is all powerful, and I promise whoever so utters the slogan five times will be able to overcome life’s trials and tribulations.
