Nanak Naam Chardi Kala Tere Bhane Sarbat Da Bhala
We have gathered here today to celebrate the foundation day of Das Dharam, which would have been celebrated with great pomp and ceremony, but because of our unfortunate loss our dearest wish has not been fulfilled. The Lord saw fit to do something else. We must accept this as the will of God and with the memory of Mahraz Darshan Das in our hearts continue to perform our allocated duties.
My message to the followers of Das Dharam is that to build a firmer foundation for the nation, we must have unity and love. Our goal is one. The colour of our blood is also one. All people pray to one God. Then why is there prejudice against one another? Prejudice is sin, which can destroy humanity and scatter communities, which is contrary to the laws of creation and the fundamental rights of man. Prejudice is a hurdle in our goal for unity and love for all.
Granted that the earth is a small planet, but nonetheless there is enough space for all people to coexist and rise above all obstacles.
On the one hand there is the path of lies, which is constantly riding high on the adulation of its admirers. People are being deceived into thinking that this is the only way forward. The darkness of lies is spreading across the world and entrapping people in its ideals of superstition and deceit. Therefore it serves to remind us that the aim of lies cannot overcome the aim of truth, because truth is like a bright beacon with the blessing of the Lord. To reach the Lord there is no other alternative but the path of truth.
Examples of people who recognise, know and follow the path of truth are indeed few and far between. If we were to call for a count of these people, then we would go no further than God’s Messengers, saints and enlightened people.
It is only God’s Messengers, who teach us how to rise above and escape from the path of lies. They give strength to our soul. When we become strong within ourselves, we will not see the differences of caste, creed, colour or race, but just one family of God. This teaching comes through love and unity.
The greatest message of Das Dharam is one of establishing peace through love and unity. As one seeks the shade of a tree on a scorching hot day and quenches ones thirst with water, Das Dharam will provide the shelter and quench the thirst for peace through love and unity. There is strength in unity.
Let us together consolidate and look after this sapling of Das Dharam with love, shoulder to shoulder as one body. All our dreams and aspirations will transpire when this type of unity is formed.
Das Dharam has always aspired to assist the weak. Unwittingly the weak have strength of their own. For example weak threads woven together into a rope can hold the strongest elephant.
Love is another lesson, which comes through service alone and not through praise. The thirst of our body cannot be quenched by personal wealth or passions; it can only be quenched by love for the needy. Our heart is the cell of love, but it is imprisoned by despair at today’s uncertainty. Das Dharam is the promise of Lord’s children to serve his creation. This promise is stronger than the strongest oath, which we shall endeavour to fulfil.
Hundreds of thousands of children not much unlike yourselves here today, have been bequeathed to my embrace by Mahraz Jee, whose welfare is my dharam (promise) and duty. I seek your cooperation and will try to fulfil your needs. Together we will endeavour to overcome our pains and suffering. Together we will look after the sapling planted by Mahraz Jee.
Come what may, we will together pick up the pieces and continue forward with the mission started by Mahraz Darshan Das Jee. We will spread and bring it forth from the shadows.
The duties allocated to me by Mahraz Jee are now my mission; they are my vision of Mahraz Jee. I will now and evermore endeavour to fulfil my role as the Mother of the mission and look after the welfare of the children of the mission.
This is the true duty of a Mother.
Dhan Darshan
