Why do your followers use the name 'Das' in front of their names?
First of all it is necessary to define the meaning of the word. Das means a free servant, one who performs free service, which does not constitute slavery.’ Free service also means it is done by someone who sets aside his personal needs and performs it for the common good of others.’
All saints and messengers of God have accepted the service of God. Sachkhand Nanak Dham International urges and teaches its followers to perform some service for others and its slogan personifies this. To live solely for oneself is worthless. All God’s messengers have lived for others and have taught their followers to live likewise.
